In order of joining
Mauro is the Founder and Managing Partner of THCP. Prior to establishing the company Mauro was a Partner at Hutton Collins where he worked on several investments. Earlier in his career he worked at BC Partners, both in Milan and London and the M&A division of J.P. Morgan.
Mauro is the Founder and Chairman of the Nice To Meet You Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, focused on promoting education through scholarships, research and projects, to guarantee the same opportunities for everyone and enhance their possibilities for change.
Mauro graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and completed his Master in Finance at Copenhagen Business School. He speaks Italian and English.
Michele has been a Partner at THCP since inception. Prior to that, Michele worked in the investment team at Hutton Collins and formerly at the Italian private equity firm Clessidra. Earlier in his career, Michele was part of the European Investment Banking division at Merrill Lynch.
Michele holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Milan. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
Leks has been a Partner at THCP since inception. Prior to that Leks worked at Hutton Collins, initially as the Financial Controller and subsequently as a member of the investment team. Earlier in his career, he spent two years as the Finance & Controlling Manager at Pago in Austria (an international premium fruit juice producer and subsidiary of Heineken) and as Assistant Manager within the Audit and Advisory team at Mazars.
Leks is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc in Economics and Econometrics as well as a MSc in IT from the University of Nottingham. He speaks English, Dutch and German.
Ana joined THCP in October 2014 and specialises in Business Development. Before joining the company, Ana was in the Business Development team at BrightGate Capital in Madrid where she assisted select hedge fund clients to prospect investors and promote their funds within the Spanish market. Prior to that Ana held roles in equity research at Credit Suisse and equity derivative sales at UBS London.
Ana holds a Masters in Management from the Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III), and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. She speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian.
Bruno joined the company in September 2015 and currently serves as its Managing Director of Luxembourg. Bruno spent more than thirteen years in the accounting field developing expertise in accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting functions in Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He most recently served as a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Luxembourg office, specializing in Accounting Compliance & Reporting services (ACR) and Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) to real estate, private equity, and other industries. Bruno holds an MSc from Groupe Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon-Bourgogne, where he specialised in Audit and Financial Management, and has been registered as a member of the OEC (“Ordre des Experts Comptables”). He speaks French and English.
Lance joined THCP in January 2016 and is a Managing Director. Before joining the company, Lance was in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs where he focused on special situations lending in the U.S. middle market. Prior to that Lance held investment banking roles at Cogent Partners and Bank of America Securities.
Lance holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, as well as an MBA and Masters in Advanced Finance from IE Business School in Madrid. He is a CFA Charterholder and speaks English and Spanish.
Arjan joined THCP in June 2017 and is an Investment Director. Before joining the company, Arjan was at Vitruvian Partners where he worked for 2 years in the Benelux and UK investment teams. Prior to Vitruvian, he spent nearly 3 years in the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley covering Benelux and Switzerland. Previously, Arjan was a technology entrepreneur, co-founding an e-commerce software enterprise in the Netherlands.
Arjan holds a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Finance and Investments from the RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He also holds a LL.M. in Financial Law from the ESL Erasmus University. Arjan speaks English, Dutch, German and French.
Victor joined THCP in May 2018. Before joining the company, he worked for Lion Capital in London and Los Angeles where he focused on the consumer and retail sector. Prior to that, he was working for mid-market private equity firm Rhône Capital and Merrill Lynch where he served in the private equity group, as well as in the corporate finance team.
Victor holds a Masters in Finance and a Bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris. He speaks French and English.
Anna Vivaldi joined the company in May 2018 and is an Associate within the Investor Relations team. Previously, Anna was an intern at THCP from September 2017. Before joining the company, Anna worked at PriceWaterhouseCooper within the Audit team. Anna holds a BSc in Business Management from Universita’ degli Studi di Trento. She speaks Italian and English.
Jacopo is an Italian entrepreneur, Chairman of EmmeEmme SpA, who joined the group as Affiliate Partner in October 2018. Previously, he also served as National President of Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria and National Vice President of Confindustria from April 2011 to May 2014. Jacopo was a member of the Strategic Board of Fondazione Università Ca’ Foscari from May 2011 to May 2015. Before then he was an Aspen Junior Fellow from April 2007 to April 2011.
Jacopo graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Università degli Studi di Firenze.
Monica Perricone joined THCP in February 2019 and is an Investment Manager. Before joining the company, Monica spent 4 years at Deutsche Bank in the European Leveraged Finance Group and Equity Capital Markets.
Monica holds an MSc in Finance cum laude from Bocconi University. She speaks Italian and English.
Barbara joined THCP in March 2019 and is an Investment Director and CEO of Nice to Meet You. Before joining the company, she worked for Metric Capital Partners in London, where she focused on new investment opportunities in SME’s across Europe. Prior to that, she was at Alvarez and Marsal where she served in their Financial Restructuring and Perforamnce Improvement teams. Barbara began her career within the M&A division of Banca Leonardo (now Houlihan Lokey) in Milan.
Barbara holds a MSc in Finance and a BSc in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and an MBA from INSEAD. She speaks Italian and English.
Christophe joined the Group in 2019 as an Affiliate Partner to strengthen the presence in France. 30 years of closed relationship with Entrepreneurs, he co-founded and managed Pragma capital a french PE Fund for 15 years. Earlier in his carreer he was driving the ECM and M&A mid cap activity at Crédit Lyonnais leading many IPOs.
He graduated from University Paris Dauphine and speaks French and English.
Nikolaj joined THCP in 2019 as an Affiliate Partner to strengthen the presence in Scandinavia. Nikolaj has spent the last 25 years working closely with entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses. In 2010, he founded Global Family Partners based in London providing advisory services and direct investment opportunities to some of the largest family owned groups in Europe. Prior to that, Nikolaj spent 16 years at Merrill Lynch as a Managing Director holding several senior positions across investment banking, capital markets and wealth management.
Nikolaj graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor in Finance and is fluent in English and Danish.
Karine joined THCP in Luxembourg as Head of Risk and Compliance in September 2019. Prior to joining THCP, Karine was the Head of Risk & Compliance for a 3rd party AIFM managing both regulated and unregulated real estate and PE funds. Karine has extensive senior operational and IT experience, in the UK and internationally, in listed and unlisted global groups/companies. She previously lived in North America for over a decade, working with Deloitte before relocating to the Channel Islands and subsequently Luxembourg. Karine holds a BA in Finance & Economics from the University of Hartford. She speaks English, French and German.
Kim joined AP in September 2019 as Head of Tax, with 13 years tax advisory experience across a wide range of areas. Kim joined from the EY International Tax and Transactions team, with a focus on the wealth and asset management sector, specifically private equity. Prior to that she was at Macquarie Group for six years, across Group Tax and the asset management and structured products businesses. Kim holds a Master of Laws (Tax Law) from the University of Sydney, and Bachelors degrees in Law and Commerce (Accounting).
Esteban joined THCP in September 2019 and is a Partner. He has over 20 years of credit investing experience, most recently at Generation Investment Management, where he made credit investments in sustainability-focused companies. Prior to that he worked at Indigo Capital, a pan-European mezzanine fund, and Barclays Bank in both London and New York. Esteban has also been advising the City of London Corporation since 2018 on a variety of topics, including sustainable asset management, growth financing for greentech companies and green finance international cooperation programmes.
Esteban holds an MA in Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain and a BSc from the London School of Economics. He speaks English, Spanish and French.
Sebastian joined THCP in March 2020 as an Investment Associate. Before joining, Sebastian spent 2 years in Nomura’s Investment Banking Division covering the Energy sector in Europe.
Sebastian holds an MSc in Financial Economics and an LLM in Financial Law from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Fiona joined the company in May 2020, with over 15 years of leadership and advisory experience in the retail and consumer sector. Fiona joined from Jimmy Choo where she led the global E-commerce & Omni-channel business. Prior to that Fiona spent over 10 years leading and driving the digital propositions within retailers such as Liberty London, The Corner (Yoox Group) and Harrods. The first 5 years of her career were in strategy consulting with Capgemini Ernst & Young. Fiona studied in Glasgow and Singapore, gaining a BA Hons in Finance and Marketing from Strathclyde Business School and Nanyang Technological University.
Beatrice joined the group as Partner, Private Wealth and Engagement in July 2020 leading the Business Development in Italy. Prior to that, she worked for the Italian Asset Manager Kairos Partners as Senior Relationship Manager for 6 years, covering Private Wealth and Institutional Investors. Earlier in her career, Beatrice worked in the Private Banking division of Banque Pictet SA and in the European Investment Banking divisions of Lehman Brothers and subsequently Nomura, in both the London and Rome offices. Beatrice graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
Stephanie joined the company in November 2020 as a Managing Director of Investor Relations. Stephanie brings over 18 years of private equity fundraising experience, having worked on more than 20 primary fundraises aggregating over $11 billion of capital. Previously, Stephanie completed an exclusive assignment with Rede Partners to help establish the firm’s impact fundraising advisory vertical. Prior to that, Stephanie spent over 14 years at Credit Suisse in the Private Fund Group, a leading global placement team, where she was a Director with responsibility for project management and origination of primary fundraisings. During her tenure at Credit Suisse, Stephanie worked in both New York and London with a variety of investment managers across strategies (including buyouts, emerging markets, real estate and credit) and geographies (including regional and country-focused Europe, Latin America, Middle East and United States). Stephanie holds a BSc in Economics from Duke University and speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Davide joined THCP in January 2021. Before joining the company, Davide worked for private equity firm Investindustrial, where he spent the last six years focusing on investment opportunities across various sectors. Prior to his experience at Investindustrial, he worked as an investment professional at Intek Group, an Italian listed investment company, and private equity firm Permira based in London. Earlier in his career, Davide was part of the investment banking team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch based in London.
Davide holds a degree in Business Administration with a Master of Science in Management from Bocconi University in Milan. He speaks Italian and English.
Massimiliano joined the Group in London at the beginning of 2021 as General Legal Counsel. He has over 15 years of legal advisory experience in the M&A market with a specific focus on the private equity industry. Massimiliano will join from Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners (a premier international law firm) where he was a Partner in the Corporate-M&A department. Before becoming a Partner, he worked for one year in New York as a foreign lawyer of the Corporate-M&A department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy and he gained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate Governance & Practice at Stanford Law School.
Marco joined THCP as a Partner and Investment Committee Member in January 2021. Prior to joining the Firm, Marco was a Co-founder, Partner and Member of the Board of Bluegem Capital Partners, a successful Pan-European consumer focused fund which raised since inception and during his tenure more than €800m of capital across three primary funds and a secondary platform. At Bluegem Marco worked on several investments across Europe and sat on several companies’ Boards. Earlier in his career he worked at Merrill Lynch in the Investment Banking team and in the Strategic Solutions Group both in Milan and London, gaining exposure to M&A, equity and debt-linked products and fixed-income derivatives.
Marco is a member of Consiglio Direttivo of AIFI and an advisory board member of IPCA. Marco regularly features in panels and conferences organised, among others, by AIFI, PE Insight and BVCA.
Marco graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration at Bocconi University after spending one academic semester at the University of Southern California – Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles. He speaks Italian, English and some Spanish.
Joseph Bonomo joined THCP in March 2021 and is an Investment Associate. Previously, Joseph was a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company where he spent 5 years working mainly in Private Equity, Consumer Goods and Retail.
Joseph holds a MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, a MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs in Paris and a MSc. in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin. He speaks English, Italian and French.
Stefanie joined the firm in June 2021 as Head of ESG and Sustainability, based in Milan. Previously, she was at Bridges Fund Management where she led the impact team, delivering the sustainability strategy across its multi-fund platform. She is a founding member of the Impact Management Project and sits on the investment committee of the London Business School Impact Ventures Fund.
Stefanie holds a Master of Public Administration from LSE, London and a BSc in International Economics & Management from Bocconi University, Milan. She speaks German, English, Italian and French.
Alessandro joined the Group in London in October 2021 as Senior Legal Counsel. Before joining the Company he was a Senior Associate in the Corporate-M&A department of Gianni & Origoni. He has been advising corporations, private equity, investment funds and banks on complex M&A, corporate restructuring, private equity, real estate and joint ventures, also at cross-border level and with a specific focus on the private equity industry, for over 10 years.
Alessandro holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate Law from NYU School of Law and Master of Science in Law cum laude in Law from Bocconi University. He also attended the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Babson College in Boston. He speaks Italian and English.
Laura Heely joined Atypical Partner in November 2021 as a Principal on the Value Creation team. She started her career at J.P. Morgan, where she spent six years across strategy and investment advisory functions. After completing her MBA, Laura transitioned to the technology sector, working in strategy and operations at Moonfare, Stint, and later Titanbay, where she was Chief Operating Officer. In addition, Laura frequently collaborates with INSEAD business school, and is an award-winning author in strategy.
Laura holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Northwestern University where she double majored in Economics and French. She speaks English and French fluently, in addition to intermediate Spanish and Italian.
Charis joined the company in January 2022 and specialises in Investor Relations. Before joining THCP, Charis spent over three years at Foresight Group within the private equity division leading on the project management of new fundraises and managing the delivery of a full investor relations programme for six funds. Charis joined Foresight Group from Astellon Capital Partners, an event driven hedge fund, where she had worked as an Investor Relations Associate focusing on both fund reporting and capital raising from institutional investors. Prior to that, she was a Senior Investor Analyst at Murano Connect where she worked with over 100 different fund managers across the alternative investment spectrum. Charis holds a BA in French Studies from the University of Birmingham. She speaks English and French.
Bilal joined THCP in February 2022 as an Investment Manager. Prior to THCP, he worked in Private Debt at ICG and was responsible for originating and executing investments on a pan-European basis. Prior to ICG, Bilal worked in the leveraged finance team at Citi, where he worked on several buy-side and sell-side leveraged buyouts and financing opportunities across Europe. Before this, he gained experience with the British Army and at PwC.
Bilal is a graduate of Cass Business School and holds a first-class honours degree in Banking and International Finance.
Leopoldo joined THCP in February 2022 as an Investment Associate. Prior to THCP, Leopoldo was an Investment Banker at J.P. Morgan where he spent 4 years in the EMEA Diversified Industries Team in London, gaining significant experience in M&A, IPO and debt and equity cross-border transactions.
Leopoldo holds a MSc in Management cum laude and special mention from ESCP Europe Business School, London City University and Università di Torino. Leopoldo has lived and studied in Italy, London and Paris and speaks Italian, English and French.
Pablo joined THCP as a Partner and Investment Committee Member in April 2022. Prior to joining the firm, Pablo was a Managing Director within the European Principal Group at Oaktree Capital Management where he lead deals in which over €1 billion of LP funds were invested from both the private equity funds and the direct lending funds. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking Group and its successor fund investing in Europe. Before that, he was based in New York and invested in Latin America while at DB Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Deutsche Bank.
Pablo is an Industrial Engineer from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is fluent in Spanish.
Giulia joined the company in September 2022 as Analyst in the Investor Relations team. Previously, Giulia was an intern at THCP from October 2021.
Giulia holds a BSc in International Economics and Finance from Bocconi University, as well as several internationally recognized certifications issued by, for example, Bloomberg, LSE and HEC Paris/AXA Investment Managers.
She speaks, Italian, English, Russian, Spanish and French.
Marco Manca joined THCP in September 2022 as an Analyst. Previously, Marco was an intern at THCP from September 2021.
Marco holds an MSc in Corporate Finance cum laude from LUISS Guido Carli University. Marco has lived and studied in Rome and Madrid and speaks Italian, English and some Spanish.
Abhik joined the firm as a Partner in September 2022. Prior to that, Abhik was a Managing Director and the Head of Private Debt at Golding Capital Partners, a European asset manager specialized in private markets investments. Abhik oversaw the successful growth of Golding’s private credit business and was responsible for all new fund and co-investments, as well as the management of the portfolio across Europe and North America. Prior to joining Golding, Abhik was a Partner in the Private Debt Group of BlueBay Asset Management in London (now Arcmont Asset Management), where he successfully invested close to €1bn in various middle market businesses across Europe. Before that, he worked in the Principal Finance team at Macquarie, where he invested across the capital structure of European and North American companies. He started his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers in London.
Abhik graduated from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland with an M.A. in Law and Economics (with honors). He also holds a dual CEMS MIM Master’s in International Management degree from ESADE Barcelona and the University of St. Gallen. He speaks English, German / Swiss German, French, Italian and Spanish.
Eugenia joined the Group in London in October 2022 as Legal Counsel. Before joining the Company, she worked as Associate in the Corporate-M&A department of Gianni & Origoni in Milan.
Eugenia graduated in Law summa cum laude from Università del Sacro Cuore in Milan and gained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate Law at NYU School of Law.
She speaks Italian and English.
Alejandro joined THCP in November 2022 as an Associate. Before joining THCP, he worked for Sunridge Partners in London where he focused on food and agribusiness investments. Prior to Sunridge, he was a Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting where he advised on Strategy and M&A transactions across multiple sectors.Alejandro holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics from UCL. He speaks English, Spanish and intermediate French.
Prior to joining AP Matteo covered the role of CFO, General Manager and Board Member in several small and medium businesses where he achieved a significant experience in accounting and financial management, business integration, M&A and turnaround. Earlier in his career Matteo worked as a strategic consultant in Mckinsey&Co with focus on corporate finance and planning and control, serving both large corporations and financial institutions, including PE firms. Matteo holds an MBA at Columbia University and a degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University of Milan. He speaks Italian and English.
Giuseppe Pignatti joined THCP as an Associate in January 2023. Giuseppe was a Strategy consultant at OC&C where he spent 3 years and prior to that worked a year for Lok capital an impact PE fund based in India. Giuseppe holds an MBA from London Business School and speaks English, Italian and French fluently.
Francesco joined AP in January 2023 as an ESG associate. Before joining AP, he spent over three years at Deloitte & Touche within the sustainability division supporting private equity investment firms in the definition and implementation of responsible investment strategies.
Francesco holds a MSc in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University and a BSc in Economics and Management from Università Cattolica, Milan. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
Tim joined AP in March 2023 as an Operating Partner. Before joining AP, he spent over four years at CAA Brand Management, the world’s largest licensing and brand management company, where he was Chief People Officer. Prior to this, Tim led numerous HR departments across leading household names, including Maxxium Asia-Pacific, Diesel, Pentland, and Dixons Carphone plc. He also founded Starboard, a business consultancy, and the Business Culture Awards.
Tim is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; and has postgraduate diplomas in HR Strategy in Transforming Organisations from London Business School and Executive Coaching from Ashridge Business School. Tim holds a MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice from Lancaster University and a BA in English from the University of York.
