Three Hills appoints new Partner Pauline Ammeux to lead coverage in France
Three Hills is delighted to announce the appointment of Pauline Ammeux, who joins the firm as a Partner to invest funds across all Three Hills strategies – Capital Solutions, Impact, and Credit Opportunities – on the French market.
Pauline Ammeux brings considerable experience, with over 15 years spent in private capital investing. Prior to joining Three Hills, she served in top-ranked pan-European private equity firms (PAI Partners, BlackFin CP and Adagia) with a focus on the French middle market. She primarily focused on investments in the B2B services, financial services, and light industrials sectors. As a Board Member of numerous portfolio companies throughout her career, she has supported a diverse array of management teams with their international expansion, buy-and-build programmes, and ESG transformation processes. She started her career in 2007 in investment banking at Lazard in Paris, with extensive M&A experience through a subsequent tenure at Merrill Lynch as well. Pauline graduated in business administration from HEC Paris and from Sciences Po (Paris Institute of Political Studies).
Pauline Ammeux’s appointment is an important milestone in Three Hills’ continued growth journey, notably as it further strengthens its presence in a key region for the firm. Following the first investment in France in 2022 (with approx. €60m invested in Castellet Hospitality from Three Hills Capital Solutions Fund IV or “THCS IV” which manages €1bn+), Three Hills has continued to back Castellet’s buy-and-build strategy with a further c.€30m follow-on investment in late 2023. The Three Hills Investment Team now counts five investment professionals dedicated to the French market, supported by multiple members of the Value Creation team with local experience in France, Three Hills is committed to expanding the firm’s footprint in this key market, building on strong existing advisor and sponsor relationships, and the invaluable support of French-based institutional and private wealth investors.
Speaking about her recent move to Three Hills, Pauline Ammeux shared,
“Three Hills has earned its reputation as a partner of choice for ambitious entrepreneurs and management teams in Europe. I am pleased to have the opportunity to build upon the firm’s track record in the European middle market to bring the range of Three Hills’ solutions to more exceptional businesses in France.”
Mauro Moretti, Founder and Managing Partner at Three Hills, added,
“Pauline’s appointment is an important milestone for Three Hills. As part of our business plan, growing in France was one of our key pillars due to the size of the private capital market and the developed stage of the structured financing space. This follows the investment made by the firm to open our New York office in 2023 and highlights, once again, that we are continuing to invest all the necessary resources to create a truly international platform to deliver proper geographic diversification and local grip on portfolio companies for the benefit of our LPs.”
