THCP appoints Stefanie Kneer to lead ESG as it publishes its inaugural Sustainability Report
Three Hills Capital Partners (“THCP”) is delighted to announce the appointment of Stefanie Kneer as Head of ESG and Sustainability. The appointment coincides with the launch of THCP’s inaugural Sustainability Report and marks an important milestone for THCP as it continues to advance its commitment to sustainability.
Stefanie joined THCP in June 2021 from Bridges Fund Management, where she led the team that delivered the impact firm’s sustainability strategy across its multi-fund platform. She is a founding member of the Impact Management Project, a global forum to define and set impact measurement, management and reporting standards. An economist by training, Stefanie previously worked as a management consultant at Bain & Co in London, focusing on financial services and private equity. Stefanie sits on the board of the Next Generation Impact Investment Network as well as the investment committee of the London Business School Impact Ventures Fund.
As Head of ESG and Sustainability at THCP, Stefanie will oversee the firm’s sustainability strategy at both portfolio and firm level, including the wider ESG efforts of Atypical Partner, THCP’s controlling entity. She will play an integral role in investment selection, engagement, value creation and reporting to investors, working with both investment and management teams across the investment cycle to build more sustainable businesses.
Along with Stefanie’s arrival, THCP is also delighted to announce the publication of its first Sustainability Report. The report charts the journey and approach to sustainable investing taken by THCP since inception, details the 2020 ESG assessment results across the portfolio and firm, and describes THCP’s ambition to contribute to a more sustainable future for all stakeholders. As noted in the report, THCP has also started its journey to become a certified B-Corporation, a hallmark for businesses committed to high ESG standards. The THCP Sustainability Report 2020 is available on the THCP website.
Mauro Moretti, THCP Founder and Chairman of the Investment Committee, commented:
Stefanie joins THCP at an important junction within our firm’s sustainability journey. Although sustainability has always been part of our DNA, with ESG practices systematically formalised in recent years, we intend to further build on this strong foundation and provide best-in-class support to our companies and management teams.
Mauro Moretti, THCP Founder and Chairman of the Investment Committee
Stefanie Kneer commented:
I am delighted to be joining THCP, a firm that views sustainability as a moral and economic imperative. Small and mid-market companies across Europe are grappling with how to incorporate sustainability within their strategies, and I believe that the sustainability expertise THCP can offer its portfolio companies will continue to be an advantage in helping build more resilient businesses.
